The potential for development score is generated by weighting and summing up factors such as zoning, connectivity, flood risk, utility service, minimum size, average slope of parcel, environmental remediation, and current use/ownership. Current use was established using Microsoft Canadian building footprints, satellite imagery, local knowledge and given a score from 1 to 4.
The resulting cumulative score ranges from 8 (red) to 19 (green) with the higher scores signifying a higher potential for development or redevelopment.
